Walk, trot, canter, etc.

I have horseback riding lessons two times a month. I know walk and trot. I am going to learn
how to canter, lope, and gallop. Canter is smoother than trot. Walk is very slow. Trot is more
bouncy. Gallop is very very very fast! Lope is a little faster than canter, but slower than
gallop. I hope to be in a race if I can get to that point.
If you have a horse, you should try first walk, then trot, then canter, then lope, and at last
gallop. (Try not to fall off your horse!)

I am afraid of horses. I never had any experience with them I guess. I'm glad you have a chance to learn more than I did about them.

I did not know you were learning to ride horses. I rode a few times when I was your age, but fell off a few times and didn't enjoy that! I think you already know a whole lot about horses. My friend Lea Ann has several horses and said that I can come ride and bring anyone I want with me... maybe we could all go out a visit her barn some day... that would be fun. We could have another picnic!
