I am looking forward to getting a harp. The price range that we found for harps is from $300, up to $30,000! I would like to get a harp that is $350. There is some variety of kinds of harps. I will get a lap harp, (a small harp) for me. I am going to tell you about the different varieties of harps.
A Lever or Celtic Harp
There is a Celtic or classic kind of lever harp. A Celtic lever harp is almost the same as the harps made in ancient Ireland. Celtic harps have a lower voice than most harps, and are the easiest harps to play. Classic lever harps typically have the string voice like that of a small pedal harp, and is a great harp for somebody who could go on to the big pedal harps someday. A plain sort of lever harp could have a lever for each string (fully levered), or it could have some levers for some strings (partly levered). Some of the lever harps do not have levers at all, but these are not recommended for most people. Having more levers makes it easier to make it in different keys. The lever harps costs much less than the pedal harp, so most people start with a lever harp. Lever harps have from 26 up to 38 strings. More strings let you play more music.
Lap Harps
Lap harps are small lever harps. They are more portable than most harps, and you can hold them while playing them. They come in a big range of prices, and are a excellent way to get started playing the harp. Lap harps have 22 or 26 strings in the string range.
Pedal Harps
Pedal harps are the kind of harps that you find in Symphony Orchestras. They are harps that have 7 foot pedals that are used to change a whole set of a b c d e f or g keys on the harp. The strings on a pedal harp are set up with 3 little pins that are used to change the pitch of each string, which gives each string the ability to be a flat, natural, or sharp.
If you'd like to hear some music about harps, you can buy one of these CDs of harp music!

Swim Days
We have had 2 swim days so far. The second was today!!!!! Last time I was mostly in the shallow part. This time I was too. Last time all the girls were jumping into the shallow part. We were all jumping at the same time saying "CANNON BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was a huge splash! Almost everybody got splashed! This time we did lots of belly flops, and now I have a stomachache. It really hurt once. My friend was doing it with me. It was very fun! At the end we were jumping off the diving board and falling onto the Kaboom. When we were doing belly flops I could go all the way to the other end of the shallow part!!!!!!!! My friend begged me to do it again and again!!! Here are some things you could do in a swimming pool.
- Do a belly flop
- Do a flip
- Do a dive
- Jump onto a Kaboom
- Use noodles as water guns or horses
- Have races
- Float
- Sit on a tube
- Have a war
- Throw floating Frisbees
- See how many sinker toys you can get
- Have people jump with you and say "CANNON BALL!!!!!!!!!"
- Play "Marco Polo"
- Play "Cold Feet"
- Play "Frozen Tag"
Here is a fun website with lots more fun swimming pool games: http://www.funandgames.org/swimgames.htm
Have fun this summer and stay safe!

Father's Day 2007
We have some gift ideas that you might like to try. You could give them as a late gift, or save them for next Father's Day. You could also adapt them to any other special occasion. Almost everyone knows the idea of breakfast in bed, so you could give him his favorite breakfast. Also, you might like to buy a big piece of poster board, fold it in half, and put words on it, substituting candy for some words such as:
- When you tickle me, I get the Snickers.
- You are more precious than a Dove.
- You make me feel like a Butterfinger.
- Dads like you are worth a Mint!
- We love you Mounds and Mounds!
- Payday is Father's Day!
- Hey Mr. Goodbar, you are the Almond Joy of our lives, you Big Hunk!
- We got you a Whatchamacallit gift!
- What a Whopper of a Dad you are!
- We would like to shower you with Kisses!
- The sound of your voice is like a Symphony.
- You are Extra (gum) special to us!
- With Mounds of love, your children.
- Hugs and Kisses, your children.
- Diligent
- Always Loving
- Dedicated
- Devoted
- Your children love you!
- Great
- Ready to play
- Always Loving
- Never gives up
- Dedicated
- Prayer Warrior
- Admired

Peach cobbler & Picking peaches
I have had several experiences making peach cobbler. The last time I made it, we took it to church, and I think almost everybody had a few bites. And a few of them said thank you for making it. I think it is a very good recipe.
Here is the recipe for you.
Peach Cobbler
1 stick of butter, melted into pyrex pie dish. Mix lightly the following in a separate dish:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1 can of peaches or fresh.
Pour into melted butter dish, add can of peaches (drained) over flour mixture.
Here is a idea if you want fresh peaches. Go to Marburger Orchard!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have gone to Marburger Orchard 2 times this year for strawberries. Then they were not too thick, but when we went there for peaches, they were very very very thick!!!!! So, maybe you should go for peaches before they are out of season!
Here is the website if you want it: http://www.marburgerorchard.com/

Busy Bees Books
These books are really great! Each chapter has a story of the children at their grandparent's house, followed by a bedtime story that teaches good lessons on how to live properly.
The first book is called "A Hive of Busy Bees" by Effie Williams and contains character traits such as Obedience, Honesty, Truthfulness and Kindness.
The second book is called "Another Hive of Bees" by Beverly Soderholm and contains character traits such as Carefulness, Orderliness, Thoughtfulness and Diligence.
Some traits are in both books, but it's OK if two stories have the same lesson! I guarantee you, children will fall in love with the characters and will be exited when the stories are ready to be read! Also, they will be disappointed when the books are over! Join the children at their grandparent's house and learn important, godly lessons! We hope you will enjoy these books!
The first book - "A Hive of Busy Bees" is available for FREE download at this link: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/7027 or you can purchase both books using the links below.

Our Keepers of the Faith meetings
I think that we have Keepers of the Faith meetings every month. We have them at our house. I do,
- Cooking
- Crocheting
- Pressed flowers
At the start we all do group time. We read a book that helps girls to learn about what they should live their life like.
I have 9 badges. They are for Bible memorization, Bible reading, Latchook, and Music.
Matthew has 9 badges. They are for Bible memorization, Bible reading, Chess, and Music.
Matthew does,
- Knots
- Archery & BB guns
I think we are doing it because we want to be for God's glory,
and because we want to learn.
The website for our meetings is:

Walk, trot, canter, etc.
I have horseback riding lessons two times a month. I know walk and trot. I am going to learn
how to canter, lope, and gallop. Canter is smoother than trot. Walk is very slow. Trot is more
bouncy. Gallop is very very very fast! Lope is a little faster than canter, but slower than
gallop. I hope to be in a race if I can get to that point.
If you have a horse, you should try first walk, then trot, then canter, then lope, and at last
gallop. (Try not to fall off your horse!)

Our Goals
- One of our goals in this blog is to help people to have fun and learn at the same time! That may seem hard, but we know we can do it. We hope you will like our ideas and games.
- We want to earn some money so our dad can come home to work. His websites are: http://www.springer-pups.com/ and http://www.spoiled-pups.com/. If you have dogs, this is for you!
- We need to learn how to type, spell, and simply write better, so this is a great chance to learn how! (I hope I didn't misspell any words!) :-)
- Above all, we want to share our belief, love and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, and our Savior!
