Courtney's Testimony

I have loved Jesus for as long as I can remember. So, here is my testimony:

As we were having Bible time one night, we were reading Matthew 3:13-17 (Jesus's baptism), and I was asked to narrate those verses. I said Jesus got baptized to show us that we need to have a new birth in Christ. It was almost the same thing. Jesus got baptized to set a good example for us. It was then and there that I decided I was going to get baptized. Daddy had me do a study on repentance. Repentance is to look back with sorrow on a deed or deeds, or to have pain and regret of our past conduct. I also read the Gospel John and found John 1:33: And I knew Him not, but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said to me , upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. So me and my parents had several talks about repentance, and other things relating to baptism. They decided I was ready, and we set a date. I hope you will have the same experience I did.
